Police Searching For Missing 4-Year-Old
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is on the lookout for a 4-year-old girl they suspect may have been taken by her mother's boyfriend.
Alexandria Bliss Smith, born May 10, 2005, was last seen around 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cottonwood mobile home park, 6441 Cypress St. near Santa Fe. She is about 3 feet tall, weighs 30-40 pounds, and has short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a multicolor sweater dress, pink socks and purple high-tops.
Samuel Quezada, 31, of Santa Fe is believed to have taken the child after a fight with the missing girl's biological mother. He is a 5-foot-6-inch tall, 140-pound Hispanic male with brown hair, short brown beard and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing bluejeans with a black hooded sweatshirt and black shoes, and may be driving a black primer 1990 Honda Accord with a temporary Colorado registration plate. Sheriff's deputies suspect he may be heading to Colorado.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Jeremy Garcia at 505-428-3710 or 505-986-2490.
Luna Baseball Coach Suspended
Luna Community College baseball coach Peter Ortiz has been suspended indefinitely for undisclosed reasons.
"It is a personnel issue, and we are not at liberty to discuss this matter," Jesse Gallegos, LCC spokesman, said. "Antonio Siqueiros is in charge of the day-to-day operations until further notice."
Ortiz was convicted of his second DWI in 2008 and was sentenced to about two year's probation, according to online court records.
Siqueiros, a former New Mexico Highlands player, is the Roughriders' assistant coach.
