Spanish Market This Weekend

      The 57th Annual Traditional Spanish Market takes place this weekend, with related events starting today.
    The market, featuring more than 250 artists, is scheduled for 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday on the Santa Fe Plaza. Admission is free to the public.
    Traditional art forms on display and for sale will include santos, hide paintings, straw appliqué, textiles, furniture, colcha, tinwork, ironwork, precious metals, pottery, bonework, ramilletes and basketry.     Park-and-ride service by the Santa Fe Trails bus system will be available on market days from Santa Fe Place (behind JC Penney) or from DeVargas Center (behind Albertsons). Cost is $2 round-trip for adults, $1 for seniors and youth, and free for children under 6 with adults.
    Buses will run beginning at 8:15 a.m. Saturday and 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. The buses will run every 30 minutes. Call 955-2001 for more information on the bus service.
