Journal Staff Report
Former state District Court Judge Kenneth Brown will be laid to rest Monday.
Brown died Nov. 10, his family announced. He was 67.
Kenneth George Brown served as an assistant district attorney and for nine years in private practice in Bernalillo, which included time as the town's attorney, according to an online obituary published by the funeral home handling his arrangements.

He was judge for 20 years. Among his achievements, he "was responsible for the creation of Grade Court, a speciality program he started in 1999 that is credited with keeping young people in school and resulting in a very low rate of recidivism," according to the published information. Brown retired in July 2004.
Brown attended school at Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo and received his law degree from the University of New Mexico.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming NE. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo.
