Sheriff Trying To Fool Voters
I was one of the lawyers, along with my partner Robert J. Gorence, who represented Mark Saiz in both the attempted criminal proceedings and his federal civil rights case. I am offended by Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White's commentary because it is inaccurate, misleading and a misguided attempt to fool voters while he runs for Congress. Let me set the record straight.   (Saturday, October 11, 2008)

Capital Projects Need Scrutiny
Bravo to the Legislative Finance Committee, which is considering putting an end to reauthorizing billions for well-intended projects that didn't pan out.   (Saturday, October 11, 2008)

Vote for Bond C Is a Vote for Better Health Care
BETTER HEALTH care requires more than just talented doctors, nurses, and health care professionals. Our state's skilled providers must have state-of-the-art facilities to ensure that all New Mexicans have access to the high quality health care they deserve. New facilities are also required to train our state's next generation of health care professionals. On Nov. 4, voters have the opportunity to help build the future of New Mexico's health care delivery system by voting for the statewide General Obligation Bond for Better Health, also known as Bond C.   (Friday, October 10, 2008)

Parent Video Won't Fix APS' Truancy Problems
IN THE PAST few years I have been a mentor in the Wise Men and Women Mentorship Program. I have had some successes and some failures.   (Thursday, October 09, 2008)

Columnist Glosses Over GOP's Role in Meltdown
CAL THOMAS, in a recent column, had the audacity to blame the Democrat-led Congress for not acting quickly enough to avert the current economic meltdown.   (Thursday, October 09, 2008)

C de Baca Falls Victim to Political Correctness
Fernando E. C de Baca is an honorable man and a distinguished Hispanic. Today he is vilified in a feeding frenzy of the politically correct.   (Thursday, October 09, 2008)

View's Context Explains a Lot
WHEN I READ Fernando C de Baca's earlier defense that his remarks had been taken out of context, I kept wondering what context? I wish his explanation had been published earlier.   (Wednesday, October 08, 2008)

Change the Answer to Prejudice
As an American who is proud to be African American living in New Mexico, I feel compelled to comment on Fernando C de Baca's statements.   (Wednesday, October 08, 2008)

Own Up To Racist Beliefs
FERNANDO C de Baca is a racist and his ignorant comments about blacks and the grandeur of conquistador history makes one wonder, if they say this in public, what they say in private.   (Wednesday, October 08, 2008)
