Letters would give authority on behalf of the estate
Q: My father died in Albuquerque without a will in June. I have not yet received the death certificates, though I'm told they are on their way to me. I am his only son by his first marriage. There are no other children or other heirs that I know of. He was not married at the time of his death. Real estate is family affair for Roger Cox
Roger Cox, if you will, is the polar opposite of a Johnny-come-lately to the Albuquerque real estate scene. He's a native New Mexican, a former All-Conference defensive end with the UNM Lobos football team, and a former teacher and coach who has been involved in the real estate business since 1956. Cox was born in Crownpoint. "I learned (to speak) Navajo at a very young age. You had to. It was the Navajo Nation, and to get along with the other kids, you had to speak their language," Cox said.   (Monday, October 06, 2008)
