Cops: Man Says He Shot Roomie

Journal Staff Report
A Tijeras man allegedly shot and killed his roommate Friday.
Kenneth Therrell, 52, was arrested and charged with murder after he called 911 and told police he shot his friend and roommate, Billy Williamson, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint said Therrell told police he and Williamson had argued, then Williamson had retrieved a gun from his bedroom and shot Therrell once in the arm. Therrell then wrestled the gun away and shot Williamson several times, the complaint said. Williamson was declared dead at the scene and Therrell was taken to a hospital to treat his wound.
Therrell was being held at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center on a no bond hold as of Sunday evening.
