- State Police Vehicle Burns
Firefighters put out the flames from an unmarked State Police car along Interstate 25 near the San Mateo exit Wednesday night. A State Police officer was driving northbound when he noticed in the rearview mirror sparks coming form the back of the car. The officer pulled over away from traffic, removed his weapons and most of his other gear and, within seconds, the car was fully engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and appears to have been electrical. Officals do not suspect arson. The car is a total loss. Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
