Suspect Held on No Bond

A North Valley man remained in jail Friday evening on suspicion of domestic violence and aggravated stalking stemming from more than 30 complaints, at least three restraining orders and other alleged incidents involving three women, including his most recent ex-girlfriend, court records show.
Jason Folds, 29, of the 1700 block of Market NW, was in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center against a no-bond hold, jail records show. He had violated probation granted in two prior domestic violence cases when police arrested him Sunday.
Folds was booked into the West Side jail late Wednesday, according to jail records, though it is not clear where he was between Sunday and Wednesday.
Albuquerque police have on file 31 reports of domestic violence — including allegations of stalking, battery, assault and harassment — five reports of other types of violence and three orders of protection naming Folds, according to a criminal complaint filed in Metropolitan Court. The allegations against him have been made during the "last several years."
APD domestic violence Det. B. Samora has been assigned several of Folds' cases and has been working with Folds' most recent ex-girlfriend on her allegations of "telephone harassment, assault and batteries and threats of bodily harm" against him, the complaint reads.
The woman told Samora she had called police more than two dozen times during the past two months to report abuse, the complaint says. During the last week of June, Folds allegedly came to the woman's apartment, pushed her down in front of a car, and her hand was run over.
On several occasions, the woman applied for restraining orders against Folds, the complaint reads, "but had not followed through with the procedures because of her fear of retaliation" from him. She "is very fearful of Folds and she believes he is capable of following through with his threats to kill her or have her killed."
In March 2006, a judge granted the woman a restraining order against Folds — which he stipulated to — that is in effect until 2016, according to the complaint.
But starting in July, the woman told police, Folds violated conditions of the order numerous times, the complaint says.
At least two other women have filed reports of domestic violence against Folds, according to the complaint, and both also have obtained restraining orders against him.
