Market Offers Up Fresh Goods

By Journal Staff Report

The Corrales Growers' Market features the folk rock music of David Palsce and Wally Davidson on Sunday and welcomes back the Wagner Farm stand with a crop of white and yellow corn.
There have been tomatoes at Los Pablanos stand and white and purple potatoes at Bob Johnston's stand. Blackberries, cherries and apricots have been coming in, as well as rhubarb, okra, cucumbers, zucchini and many varieties of eggplant.
There will be a wide variety of fresh garlic and onions, beets, spinach, fresh carrots, radishes, tomatoes, free range, chemical-free eggs.
Varieties of feta cheese can be found at the South Mountain Dairy stand.
Lloyd Krietzer sells old stock fig trees and can tell you just how old they are and their lineage, as well as other interesting facts about specialty trees.
The Corrales Growers' Market is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon through October and on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. on Corrales Road next to the Corrales Post Office.
