Luhan, who lived in Taos in the early to middle-1900s, associated with other writers and artists including Georgia O'Keeffe, D.H. Lawrence, Willa Cather and Ansel Adams.
Rosemary Keefe will play the part of Luhan based on Luhan's published writing. Keefe has taught writing, literature and women's studies. She served as dean of faculties at University of Wisconsin-Superior, head of English at Missouri State University and director of women's studies at Rollins College.
This event is sponsored by the Esther Bone Memorial Library, the New Mexico Humanities Council and the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.
n Internationally known chef and author Jane Butel will discuss the history and health aspects of green and red chiles while also demonstrating a favorite hallmark chile, Bowl o' Red, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Esther Bone Memorial Library.     n The Loma Colorado Main Library will showcase a new art exhibit featuring New Mexico artist Glenn Miller beginning Saturday in the library's auditorium. A reception will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.
The exhibition of acrylic and alkyd paintings includes depictions of The Last Supper, Amish/Mennonite life and landscapes of Ohio and Colorado.
Now that he resides in New Mexico, Miller hopes to capture the colors and vistas of the Southwest on canvas while reaching into the past and bringing fond memories into visual reality.
Call the Loma Colorado Main Library at 891-5013, ext. 3033, for more information about the exhibit or the reception. The library is located at 755 Loma Colorado Drive NE in Rio Rancho.
