    Maloofs Host Skateboarding Cup

    By Journal Staff Report

Albuquerque natives Joe and Gavin Maloof, owners of the NBA's Sacramento Kings, will host the richest skateboarding event in the world July 11-13 in Orange County, Calif.
The competition, the Maloof Money Cup, has $425,000 in prize money.
"The sky is the limit with this sport," Gavin Maloof told the Journal. "There are 12 million skaters in the country. More kids are stating than playing Little League Baseball. It's the sport of their generation."
Maloof said that CBS will televise the event.
