RATHER DISAPPOINTING to see that coach Alford didn’t press and put more pressure on Louisville with about 5 minutes remaining. Maybe double team the ball. Twice they came down and killed almost a minute off the clock while the defense did nothing to pressure the ball. Too bad I’m not the coach though! Hah, great season, great job in Vegas and thank you young men for giving it your all and giving the Lobo Nation another exciting great season.

WHERE DID ALL my lobos fans go? All this big talk, sweet sixteen, this is THE year.my calls and texts haven’t been returned. Time to pay me,the butcher, the baker for the healthy dose of loser lobos crow you gotta eat all year.

THIS YEAR’S Lobo team gave us long time fans real hope and they showed grit and character we had not seen before. we all believed they could get over the hump and make history for us, and though they did not do so, they were the best, the toughest, the most fun to watch of any group that preceded them. we are proud of them and they should be proud. they never let us down and never quit. our thanks go out to each of them and to the coaches and staff.

HEY LOBOS hold your heads high.  You went toe to toe for 40 minutes with one of college hoops perennial heavies. The Louisville Cardinals once known as the “Doctors of the Dunk”; well that reverse dunk by Drew Gordon was a beauty.  UNM played on a national stage against Louisville and many people will remember that game.  Hopefully the Lobos will also become a future power in college basketball.  I truly hope Drew Gordon can take his game to the next level.Go Lobos.
— Lorenzo Pino, Bosque
GREAT SEASON quite possibly Drew Gordons best game as a Lobo. However, I do think some of the underclassman need to take a look in the mirror today and ask, “Did I do everything I could to help my team win”?  They’re young, they’ll get better and hopefully get another chance for that elusive national recognition.

AT THE END of day all the Lobo naysayers were right: Weak schedule Weak conference = Poor performance in NCAA Tournament. Please pay attention…if you want a different result you have to actually DO something different. How about a stronger non-conference schedule? Go on the road and play Big East, Big 10, etc. No more EXCUSES that they won’t play UNM in the “Pit”. Stop scheduling Houston Baptist, Longwood, North Dakota at home. If you don’t do this, I will write the same email next year.
