Saturday: Albuquerque squandered a 7-1 lead, rallied for two ninth-inning runs to tie, then finally dropped a 14-10, 13-inning decision to Omaha in front of 5,012 fans at chilly Isotopes Park. Terry Evans and Clint Robinson hit long homers off Wilfredo Ledezma (0-1) in the 13th to plate five Omaha runs and decide the 4-hour, 21-minute marathon.
’Topes starter John Ely scattered four hits over six innings and left with a 7-1 lead. But three walks and two infield errors helped the Storm Chasers score six runs in the seventh.

This and that: At Today’s game, the Isotopes and Storm Chasers both will wear Negro League throwback jerseys. Former Albuquerque Duke Herb Simpson (1952-54), who also played 16 years in the Negro Leagues, also will be on hand to sign autographs. … Alex Castellanos went into Saturday night with a six-game hit streak, during which he has batted .435. … Former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda said Friday he’s keeping tabs on broadcaster Vin Scully, the only other person who can match his organizational service time. Scully missed calling the Dodgers’ home opener last week with a severe cold. “We’ve both been with the Dodgers 63 years,” Lasorda said, “and that’s the second (home opener) Vin’s missed. He’s the best.” Lasorda and Scully are both 85, though Lasorda is two months older. Scully is expected to return to the booth today. … The Storm Chasers will also be the Isotopes’ final regular season opponents in a four-game series in Albuquerque on Aug. 31-Sept. 3.
