NEW MEXICO people, wake up and realize that you are not sports fans, you are strictly Lobo basketball fans. The NM bowl in your back yard and the reported attendance was 24,610. NCAA regionals in basketball in the Pit and you can’t fill it. Lobo baseball becoming a power in the West and they get maybe 400 people at a game. Lobo football was a hit, till they lost 6 in a row then no one shows up. The men’s basketball is 11-0 team but has played only 1 true road game, outshot everyone in the pit at the line by 2-1. Lady lobo attendance down, 7-3, give them a chance to prove themselves. Sports fans in other cities show up for ALL events in their area because they are true sports fans. If their school is out, they still enjoy watching the better teams play. If you want regionals, a bowl game to still be here then drop the “Lobos or nothing” attitude.
