No. 7 SAN JON 48, No. 2 RESERVE 45: At Bernaillo, 6-2 senior guard Jacob Benally scored 22 points, including three 3-pointers, to help the Coyotes (19-7) defeat the Mountaineers (15-10) in the quarterfinals.
Senior Brandon Johnston led Reserve with 18 points, with five 3-pointers.
No. 1 HONDO VALLEY 56, No. 8 SANTA FE WALDORF 31: At Bernalillo, freshman guard Jordan Brady scored 12 of his 15 points in the third quarter to power the Eagles (24-4). Edgar Davila led Santa Fe Waldorf (19-8) with 12 points.
No. 3 WAGON MOUND 70, WALATOWA 54: At Bernalillo, senior guard Eric Olguin scored 11 of his 22 points in the first quarter as the Trojans (19-7) turned back the Cougars (20-8). Wagon Mound also got 15 points (10 in the first half, from Danny Gray.
Walatowa Charter School got 18 points from senior Alonzo Peralta and 17 from junior Teran Villa.
GRADY 51, QUEMADO 49: In Bernalillo, sophomore Jay Faust scored 15 points and helped the Bronchos (18-10) rally. Grady was down 37-31 going into the final quarter.The Eagles (16-12) got 10 points apiece from Darryn Lackey, Matt Rodriguez and Rowdy Cauzza.
