University of New Mexico officials have said that the Lobo men’s basketball team will return to town on a 1 p.m. arriving flight at the Sunport on Sunday, in case fans want to greet them.

The other way to greet and hobnob with the No. 15-ranked Mountain West champions is at the the Selection Sunday “Pit Party” which begins at 3 p.m. at University Arena. The public is invited, admission is free, concessions and merchandise will available for sale. And the CBS Selection Show will be aired throughout the building and on the Pit’s big screens at 4 p.m. CBS will show the Lobos and coach Steve Alford when New Mexico’s name comes up on the tournament bracket.
