n GREAT OBJECTIVE ARTICLE by Ed Johnson (on) 16 Reasons Why the Lobos will/won’t make the Sweet 16.! My big concern is your reason #12. “Livin at the line.” Playing on a neutral court in big games, good quality officials will only call the most obvious fouls. The Lobos won’t be able to take advantage of ticky tac foul calls they received at the Pit during the regular season. Therefore don’t expect the Lobos to be able to make as many free throws as their opponents attempt in the tournament which will hurt this Lobo Team that struggles at times offensively. … Congrats on a Great Season & Best of Luck in Tourney.

n THE LOBOS ARE fully loaded & have all of the weapons to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. Everything is set out nicely to reach the SWEET SIXTEEN. This is the year Lobos for you to make history, we believe in you, make it happen.
- Lobo Nation

n WOW! ESPN experts have the Lobos beating #1 seed Gonzaga to make it to the final four and losing to Louisville in the semis. The respect just keeps pouring in boys. Let’s show them what Lobo Nation is all about.

n FOR THE UNM women’s basketball fans that witnessed the boorish behavior of the SDSU fan who felt it was better to talk smack to the Lobo crowd during the entire game rather than watch it, just two questions. Was he talking smack to the Fresno fans while the Aztecs were losing in the championship game? How’d that smack talk work out when the Aztecs didn’t get an invite to The Big Dance? Personally, I’m rolling on the floor laughing my you know what off. Karmic payback, ya gotta love it!

n DOUBLE WHAMMY: Lady Aztecs LOSE to Fresno St. in the championship game, then get snubbed by the NCAA. Tsk! Tsk!

n IN RESPONSE TO James Yodice’s State Hoops recap column, Tim McCorkle is right! Congratulations to William Benjamin and his squad of young men for a well played historical season.
- Family
Benjamin, coach of the 5A boys champion Las Cruces High Bulldawgs and a former New Mexico State Aggie, is thought to be the first African-American coach to win a state title in the large-school basketball division.
