Memories Aplenty for Lobo Men
By Mark Smith/
Of the Journal

  TONY DANRIDGE

“My Sega Genesis at age 7. That got me into my little gaming zone. I got Street Fighter that first year, and I still play video games a lot. But Christmas is mostly just a lot of great family time, being together, basically.” DION WILLIAMS

“Christmas is just a special time. I really can't think of a certain gift or Christmas, it just always means so much getting together with my family, my friends. There's always a lot of food. I always really look forward to it.” ROMAN MARTINEZ

“Me and my brother would play football outside. We'd get big coats, and one Christmas, when I as about 12, it snowed (in El Paso). The front yard was full of snow. We jumped and slid around. I had my Dallas Cowboy helmet, he had his Carolina Panther helmet. One-on-one football. It's an awesome memory.” CHRIS JOHANSEN

“One year me and my grandpa were delivering turkeys to houses, and we went to deliver the last two to people who were at church. This one lady was crying because she didn't get a turkey. She said no one came to her house to bring one. We had delivered them all, but then I went back in the car and looked, and there was one random turkey in there, and we gave it to her. She was really happy. The church announced my name. It was really cool.” CHAD TOPPERT

“We have grandparents over, our cousins, aunt and uncle every Christmas. We open presents, relax, watch some basketball and shoot some baskets outside. It's just real relaxing every year.” Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 (updated 9:06 AM MST) Click Now To Continue
