Spring Storm Brings Wintry Weather To N.M.

Associated Press
A spring storm moving across New Mexico prompted a winter weather advisory across the northern and northeastern sections of the state through midday today.
Snow and mixed snow and rain were reported in the higher elevations.
A cold front preceded northerly winds and colder temperatures across the northeastern highlands and the eastern plains, with lows statewide ranging from the upper 20s and low 30s in the northern mountains to the 50s over the southern deserts.
But except for those middle and high clouds that swept through the northern mountains, clear skies were the general rule overnight across most of New Mexico.
High temperatures on Wednesday ranged from the low 60s over the northern mountains to the middle and upper 80s over the southern deserts and eastern plains, with upper 70s to low 80s in between.
The warmest spot in the state Wednesday was Carlsbad with 90 degrees.
