Mostly Dry, Windy Weather This Weekend

Associated Press
New Mexico will have mostly dry weather Saturday, when wind will kick up in the northwestern and central areas, the National Weather Service said.
Wind will persist Saturday night and Sunday morning as a strong cold front plunges through the eastern plains into the Rio Grande Valley.
Wind will whistle through canyon opening into the valley, and gusts could exceed 70 mph Saturday night through Sunday in the Guadalupe Mountains.
The front might help trigger a few showers and thunderstorms east of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains Saturday afternoon and across the eastern plains Saturday night.
New Mexico had mostly clear skies before dawn today, when low temperatures ranged from the 20s and mid-40s over the mountains and the north to near 60 across the southern lowlands.
High temperatures Thursday ranged from 64 degrees at Cloudcroft to 93 degrees at Roswell.
