Associated Press
Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will develop across most of New Mexico during the next few days, the National Weather Service said.
Some of the thunderstorms could produce heavy rain, causing some flooding.
Scattered thunderstorms persisted Tuesday evening across the state.
Some areas over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and northeastern highlands received more than 2 inches of rain.
The weather bureau reported 2.68 inches of rain fell five miles east of downtown Santa Fe, while Las Vegas received 0.92 of an inch and Cannon Air Force Base got 0.63 of an inch.
Low temperatures before dawn today ranged from the mid-40s and mid-50s over the mountains to the upper 50s and lower 70s in other areas.
High temperatures Tuesday ranged from 70 degrees at Cloudcroft to 93 degrees at Farmington.
