More Showers, Thunderstorms Expected

Associated Press
Showers and thunderstorms will increase over New Mexico as remnants of Hurricane Dolly move into the state, the National Weather Service says.
The activity will increase tonight over the south-central and southwestern portions of the state.
Rain then will progress northward into the western and central sections Saturday and Sunday.
A gradual drying trend might develop next week as high pressure builds over the state.
Thunderstorms developed Thursday along and west of the central mountains. A few thunderstorms dumped heavy rain over the northern mountains.
High temperatures Thursday ranged from 74 degrees at Cloudcroft to 96 degrees at Carlsbad and Farmington.
Low temperatures before sunrise today ranged from the 50s over the mountains to the 60s and around 70 across the southern lowlands.
