Hot, Dry Weather Remains in Forecast

New Mexico will have mostly hot, dry weather through Sunday, the National Weather Service said.
Afternoon and evening thunderstorms could fire up over the east.
Chances of thunderstorms over the west will be slight Thursday, but could increase Friday through Sunday.
Thunderstorms persisted early this morning over central and southeastern Quay County.
Low clouds formed before dawn between Las Vegas and Lincoln County.
Low temperatures before daybreak ranged from the 30s and 40s over the mountains the 60s and 70s across the southern lowlands and the middle and lower Rio Grande Valley.
High temperatures Tuesday ranged from 83 degrees at Chama to 106 degrees at Deming.
