Wind To Lessen Across N.M. Tuesday

Associated Press
Tuesday will not be as windy across New Mexico, and some moisture will begin to flow into the eastern plains of the state.
A weak upper level disturbance expected to move across the state on Wednesday may spark a few thunderstorms across the eastern plains near the Texas border. Some of the storms may be severe with hail and strong wind gusts.
Dry and breezy weather will return to the state Thursday.
Today's forecast was not helping New Mexico's fire danger, with another dry and breezy day on tap.
The National Weather Service warned that strong winds and very low relative humidities would create several hours of critical fire weather conditions along and east of the central mountain chain this afternoon.
Dry conditions were continuing across western New Mexico as well but with somewhat lighter winds but an hour or two of critical fire weather conditions.
Clear skies and mild temperatures were the rule overnight across New Mexico, with lows falling into the 30s across much of the northern and western parts of the state and into the 40s and low 50s across much of the eastern and southern sections.
Sunday's high temperatures ranged from 61 degrees at Chama and Cloudcroft to 88 degrees at Roswell and Carlsbad.
