Two Storms Heading for N.M.
Associated Press
At least two storms will be moving into New Mexico — one tonight and Wednesday, the other Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
Chances for precipitation will increase over much of the state, especially tonight and Wednesday as east wind brings moister air to central and eastern New Mexico.
Gusty east wind might usher higher humidity into the Rio Grande Valley later tonight and early Wednesday.
Another storm will try to slide in immediately behind the first one, causing unsettled weather into this weekend.
The second storm will provide a burst of precipitation Thursday before sinking into northwestern Mexico, then weakening and moving northeastward during the weekend.
Precipitation could fall over much of New Mexico Saturday and Sunday, but chances will be slight.
Skies were mostly clear across the east and south and partly to mostly cloudy over the northwestern plateau and Chuska Mountains before daybreak today.
Wind gusted to around 35 mph earlier this morning over the far northeast.
Low temperatures before sunrise ranged from 39 degrees at Taos to 70 degrees at Carlsbad.
High temperatures Monday ranged from 68 degrees at Cloudcroft to 96 degrees at Roswell.
