Dry Thunderstorms Forecast for Western N.M.
Associated Press
Dry thunderstorms could pop up Tuesday over western New Mexico as a low pressure area moves closer to the state from the California coast, the National Weather Service said.
Thunderstorms could develop over the east, but chances will be slight.
Dry, windy weather is forecast for the remaining areas of the state.
Chances for precipitation should end Wednesday as the low pressure area leaves the state.
Low-level moisture poured northward into eastern New Mexico overnight Sunday ahead of the low pressure area.
Low temperatures before dawn today ranged from 23 degrees at Angel Fire to 62 degrees at Tucumcari.
High temperatures Sunday ranged from 63 degrees at Cloudcroft to 88 degrees at Deming.
