Dry Weather Forecast for Later This Week

Associated Press
A low pressure area will leave New Mexico Wednesday, leaving dry, windy weather in the state for the rest of this week, the National Weather Service said.
Severe thunderstorms persisted across the east Monday evening, then concentrated in the southeastern corner of the state Monday night.
Softball-size hail was reported near Whites City, and baseball-size hail pelted the Roswell area.
Carlsbad received 0.86 of an inch of rain, while three-quarters of an inch fell at Roswell and 0.43 of an inch graced Raton.
A tornado briefly touched down six miles west of Roswell Monday afternoon, overturning a couple of trash cans, said Mark Fettig, a weather bureau meteorologist.
The storms left eastern New Mexico just after midnight.
Low temperatures before dawn today ranged from 27 degrees at Angel Fire to 61 degrees at Carlsbad.
High temperatures Monday ranged from 65 degrees at Cloudcroft to 87 degrees at Deming.
