  An 8-year-old Albuquerque girl with a life-threatening blood disease has undergone a bone marrow transplant two years after being diagnosed, her parents say.

      Former KOAT-TV anchor Dianne Anderson will join Larry Ahrens at Albuquerque's first commercial all-talk and news FM radio station, when KAGM (106.3-FM) signs on the air Feb. 28.

    Country Singer Accused of Shoplifting

      TAOS— Grammy winner Lynn Anderson, perhaps best known for her 1970s hit "Rose Garden," was arrested for allegedly shoplifting a Harry Potter DVD at a supermarket and then punching a police officer outside the store.

    Two children venture onto the play area for kids aged 2 to 5 at Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center near Eubank and Central SE in Albuquerque on Tuesday. The children got into the play area through a broken gate. The playground and parking lot were finished in August but have been fenced off from the public. City officials say the area can't be used until nearby soccer fields are completed—and that could be months from now.
