Former Lobo Assistants Identified in NCAA Case

  Former New Mexico assistants Lenny Rodriguez and Grady Stretz have been implicated in an academic fraud investigation, The Associated Press has learned, and both are expected to attend a NCAA infractions committee hearing Friday. The hearing is in Indianapolis, where New Mexico athletic director Paul Krebs will lead a five-member university delegation that includes president David Schmidly and head coach Rocky Long. Firefighters Battle Blazes in Central and Southern N.M.

  Crews were taking advantage of precipitation and cooler temperatures today to establish fire lines around a blaze that has burned an estimated 650 acres in rugged, steep terrain of the Manzano Mountains in central New Mexico.
