Firefighters Brace for Wind in Central, Southern N.M.

  Crews in central and southern New Mexico are bracing for strong wind and hot temperatures this weekend as they battle two wildfires. The Trigo Fire, burning in the Manzano Mountains southeast of Capilla Peak, has charred an estimated 1,160 acres in rugged, steep terrain. PNM's Credit Rating Drops

  Standard and Poor's financial service on Friday lowered the credit ratings of PNM Resources and its subsidiaries Public Service Company of New Mexico and Texas-New Mexico Power Co. to below investment grade.
