Domestic Violence Increases in N.M.

  Authorities say domestic violence is on the rise in New Mexico, and the recession is likely to blame. Prosecutors and police can only speculate about the cause of the uptick, but District Attorney spokesman Pat Davis said it's easy to draw a line between the recession and the violence.

10 Supposed Migrants Killed in Car Crash

  SONOITA, Ariz. — Ten people "stacked like wood" in the back of a sports-utility vehicle were killed when the driver lost control shortly before midnight on a remote southern Arizona highway, a spokeswoman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said Sunday.

  The body of a Corrales woman missing for two months was found Saturday in a Socorro County camping and hiking spot, according to the Los Lunas Police Department.
