    Your Generosity Will Ease Difficult Days for Theft Victim

      I suppose I could say I'm surprised by your generosity, but in fact I'm not. I've been in this position before, watching people in this community freely lending a hand to someone who needed it. Not long ago, I got involved in an Army major's effort to help a school in Baghdad, and by the time the Albuquerque community was through responding, we had to hire professionals to pack up everything you donated. So I'm not surprised at all that you have responded the way you did after reading Friday's column. It's Saturday as I write now, and I still haven't caught up returning all the phone messages asking about how to help.
