    Beef Recall Expands into New Mexico

      SANTA FE — A nationwide recall of certain ground beef because of fears of E. coli contamination expanded today to New Mexico. Kroger Co. announced a voluntary recall that affects Smith's and City Market stores in New Mexico, said Cynthia Thomas, food program training coordinator for the state Environment Department.
