    Fan Leaves $1.1 Million to UNM Athletics

      The estate of a longtime fan has donated an unrestricted gift worth more than $1.1 million to the University of New Mexico's athletics department. Omar Heins died at age 96 on Jan. 17.       A federal jury handed a resounding victory to Albuquerque police officers Wednesday, finding they did not violate the constitutional rights of 12-year-old murder defendant Jade Gonzales during an investigation into her father's death nearly a decade ago.
