      Under New Mexico law, a motorist doesn't have to wear a seat belt if he or she has a doctor's note.

    Fourth Escaped Inmate Caught

      CLOVIS — A fourth inmate who escaped from the Curry County jail has been captured in Albuquerque. And a grandmother accused of helping two other escapees was arrested after her 8-year-old grandson told a school counselor about seeing his father in her home.

      The Gallup judge hearing a domestic violence case against W. John Brennan, the former chief judge in the Second Judicial District, has granted a defense request to throw out statements the accuser gave police after they were dispatched to his university-area residence in March.
