      LAS VEGAS, N.M. — An assistant football coach for Taos High School who was upset over the team's poor performance during a loss Friday night now faces criminal charges after he allegedly threw a player into the air in a tackling demonstration after the game.

    Transit Center Opens Its Doors

      The city's new Northwest Transit Center opened for use Tuesday, and it proved to be a bigger draw than expected. The $2.5 million bus hub serves eight routes, including the Route 790 Rapid Ride "Blue Line" that has now been extended farther north, past Montaño, to connect with the new transit center. The center sits on the northwest corner of Ellison and Coors Bypass NW.
