Police: Notorious Rapist Caught

  The 18-year search for the "Ether Man" rapist may be over. A Pueblo, Colo., man suspected of raping 12 women in New Mexico and Texas has been charged, authorities confirmed late Sunday. Robert Howard Bruce, 47, was already in custody at the Pueblo County jail on charges stemming from an incident last month in which he allegedly tried to blow up a police officer's home.

  Daizy, the Rio Grande Zoo's brand new, pint-size pachyderm, is now 8 weeks old and weighs a dainty 445 pounds. The zoo revealed who Daizy's daddy is — none other than Albert, a bull elephant who also resides at the Rio Grande Zoo.

CIT Group Files for Chap. 11 Protection

  WASHINGTON — After struggling for months to avert bankruptcy, lender CIT Group has filed for Chapter 11 protection in an attempt to restructure its debt while trying to keep badly needed loans flowing to thousands of mid-sized and small businesses. CIT made the filing in New York bankruptcy court Sunday, after a debt-exchange offer to bondholders failed.

  The 17th annual South Valley Dia de los Muertos Marigold Parade brought out ghostly revelers Sunday. This year's theme was "Slum Dogs, Gatos Gordos (fat cats) and Hood Rats," a play on the popular movie "Slumdog Millionaire."
