    Auditors Question Past Transactions in Treasurer's Office
      SANTA FE — Independent auditors have identified potentially questionable investment transactions made in the past by the state treasurer, raising the possibility of a broader public corruption scandal than what so far has been disclosed.

    Tapia Pulls Out of Friday Night's Fight

      ABQ boxer Johnny Tapia has pulled out of his Friday night fight at Tingley Coliseum. At a press conference this afternoon Tapia announced that he hurt his back in a sparring accident on Saturday, tearing muscles.

      Approximately 24 seconds after reaching the home of a suicidal young woman, a Bernalillo County Sheriff's officer fired three shots, killing the distraught woman while her parents watched and begged her to stop hurting herself.
