A woman was taken into custody early Tuesday morning following a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian in critical condition.
Samantha Ramos-Montanez, 19, was booked on counts of leaving the scene of an accident with great bodily harm.
Police said the pedestrian, who is not being identified, was crossing Montgomery near Carlisle NE when he was struck by the car driven by Ramos-Montanez. The accident happened around 9:45 p.m.
Ramos-Montanez left the scene and was later located near 4th and Osuna NW.
The injured man was taken to University of New Mexico Hospital.
