Woman arrested in cross-state child porn investigation

Pamela Files, 38 (MDC)

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a child pornography investigation that began in Texas, according to a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman

Deputy Felicia Romero said Pamela Files, 38, is charged with sexual exploitation of children.

She said Files was not only sharing child pornography but also made threats to molest her own children.

The trail leading to Files began in September when the Dallas police department arrested a man for sharing child pornography on Facebook and the smartphone app Kik, according to a criminal complaint filed in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court.

Through a joint operation with Homeland Security Investigations, Files was identified as the person sharing pornography with the Dallas offender, Romero said.

Files told deputies she has three sons and said she has shared child pornography, but she denied ever having a sexual relationship with a child.
