SANTA FE, N.M. — Policy say a Peñasco man was killed in a head-on collision in northern New Mexico Friday evening.
Patrick Medina, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene after the eastbound car he was riding in crossed into oncoming traffic on N.M. 75 at around 6:20 p.m. near mile marker 16, New Mexico State Police said in a news release.
Medina was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the vehicle, Anthony Sanchez, 21, also of Peñasco, and the driver of the other vehicle, 32-year-old Gregory Mascarenas of Tooele, Utah, were transported to Holy Cross Hospital in Taos for treatment, police said.
Their conditions were unknown.
