ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Two Utah women were killed in a two-vehicle crash in southwestern New Mexico on Saturday morning, New Mexico State Police said.
Kelly Stubbs, 19, and Laura Stubbs, 28, both of Copperton, Utah, were pronounced dead at the scene on U.S. 180 near Buckhorn, which is in Grant County.
The 2003 Subaru driven by Kelly Stubbs crossed into oncoming traffic while traveling east at around 6 a.m., according to police.
A second passenger, Laura Pratt, 51, also of Copperton, was injured and flown to a Tucson trauma center for treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle refused treatment at the scene.
