ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque man wanted by the FBI in connection with a July 27 bank robbery has been arrested.
Dennis Anthony Saavedra, 34, was found during a traffic stop by the New Mexico State Police on Saturday, according to an FBI news release.
Saavedra was charged with the July 27, 2017, robbery of the U.S. Bank at 3801 Isleta SW and a federal warrant for his arrest was issued Aug. 3.
He was turned over to the FBI and is expected to have an initial appearance on Monday in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque.
Saavedra’s mother and her boyfriend were arrested last weekend after FBI agents and Bernalillo County sheriff’s detectives searching for him instead found marijuana plants, a stolen firearm and uninhabitable conditions at their southwest Albuquerque home.
