Talking Grammer: A podcast conversation with Lobo hoops coach Paul Weir

Journal staff writer Geoff Grammer sat down with new UNM Lobos men’s basketball coach Paul Weir on Aug. 16 at the Rudy Davalos Center at UNM.

The two talked about Weir’s general philosophy about constructing the program in his vision, his thoughts so far on the Albuquerque and UNM communities and what he liked, and didn’t like, about the Journal’s recent four-part series “Weir’s Science” that published in the Journal Aug. 13-16.

This is the first in a series of “Talking Grammer” podcasts Geoff Grammer plans to produce on a regular basis, primarily focusing on Lobo basketball, his primary beat at the Journal, but also covering other topics of his choosing from time to time. The tone of the podcasts will, for the most part, be conversational and fun, but also delve into the news of the day.

Let us know what you think. Grammer can be reached on email at ggrammer@abqjournal.com or on Twitter @GeoffGrammer.
