Talking Grammer: A podcast with Lobo assistants Brandon Mason and David Chiotti

Journal staff writer Geoff Grammer sits down in Episode 2 of his “Talking Grammer” podcast with UNM Lobo basketball assistant Brandon Mason and director of player development David Chiotti.

The two talk about their new roles with the Lobos, but also recall their playing days when Mason, a former NMSU Aggie, and Chiotti, a former Lobo, played against each other in the Rio Grande Rivalry. The two also chop it up about their professional careers, how Chiotti got the job at UNM and how the rivals may still bump into each other in the halls trying to send a message, but neither feel their old bodies are ready to get back on the court to play each other.

Talking Grammer, Episode 1, with UNM head coach Paul Weir, can be listened to HERE.

Let us know what you think of the podcast as it develops, be it thoughts on content or technical (like killing the stereo mode recording we did last time to how this episode has too much echo in the large room Grammer recorded it in at the Rudy Davalos Center).
