Aaron Herrera and Antoine Vial each scored a goal as the University of New Mexico men’s soccer team extended its winning streak to four with a 2-1 win over UC Irvine in the Grange and Ashwill Invitational on Sunday night.
The Lobos (4-2-0) also extended their unbeaten streak at the UNM Soccer Complex to 14 (12-0-2).
Herrera was named the tournament’s MVP, while Lobo goalkeeper Jason Beaulieu was selected defensive MVP.
Devin Boyce and sophomore Matthew Constant made the all-tournament team.
The Lobos begin Conference USA play on Saturday at home against Kentucky at 7 p.m.
