The University of New Mexico community will meet its new president at some point over the next three weeks.
Though the Board of Regents has not identified finalists for UNM’s top job, the school has set dates for the five candidates’ on-campus visits. They will begin next week and run through Oct. 24.
The regents are expected to reveal the names of the finalists later this week and make a final hiring decision by November.
The candidates will be on campus on the following dates for what UNM called “open forums for faculty, staff and students”:
— Monday, Oct. 9
— Tuesday, Oct. 10
— Tuesday, Oct. 17
— Monday, Oct. 23
— Tuesday, Oct. 24
Each session will run from 1:15-2:30 p.m.
The university is scheduling Oct. 11 as a backup date, according to an announcement issued Wednesday.
UNM’s last president, Bob Frank, left at the end of 2016.
