Pedestrian hit and killed at San Mateo/Central intersection, police say

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police say person died at the scene after being hit by a vehicle on Tuesday night at San Mateo and Central.

Officer Mike Schroeder, an APD spokesman, said police are investigating the incident, which shut down the intersection for about two hours. The intersection reopened just after 10 p.m.

“Please advise motorists to seek alternate routes,” he said. “The investigation is still in its beginning stages.”
