New year, new prizes: Isleta Resort & Casino offers a ‘$25,000 Cash Climb’ every Saturday

Bring in the new year with some new cash and prizes at Isleta Resort & Casino.

Isleta is giving you a chance to win $25,000. Get your chance to win cash or free play every Friday and Saturday through Feb. 10. Get qualified for the “$25,000 Cash Climb” finale at 10 p.m. every Saturday.

Thursdays in January are time for cash drawings. Win up to $500 during the drawings, which will be held every 15 minutes from 1 to 10 p.m. on Thursdays. Cash winners have until midnight to claim their prize. Swipe your player’s card at the kiosk for an entry to win.

Football season is coming to an end soon, but Isleta wants to make sure football fans are still getting in on the action with its “Football Frenzy Jersey Giveaway.” Win cash or your favorite team jersey on Sundays through Feb. 4. Just swipe your player’s card at the casino each Sunday for your chance to win a football jersey or up to $500.

Poker players can also get in on the pigskin fun during “Football Fundays” through Feb. 4. Play live poker during every Sunday evening football game and early Monday night football game for a chance to win $25 in chips for each touchdown and $10 in chips for each field goal.

The Isleta poker room will hold hot seat drawings every hour from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Thursdays. There will be $50 in chips given away during each drawing. The poker room also is giving out free snacks to each guest who buys a poker game on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Snacks will be provided from 11 a.m. until supplies last.

Isleta is commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. day with a special bingo session on Jan. 15. It will be offering free bingo that day. Those in attendance will receive their first pack, which pays $250 in cash, for free. Additional packs can be bought for $5 each, and will pay $500 cash. There also will be a $3 MLK game that pays $500. Seniors can enjoy special bingo sessions on Wednesdays this January. For matinee sessions, the buy-in is $5 all you can play. Regular games pay $300. During the evening sessions, the buy-in is $5 or $10 all you can play, which pays $300 or $500. All seniors ages 50 and older will receive a free game with paid admission, which pays $250. As a reminder, the bingo room will be closed Jan. 12 and Jan. 26.

Grab a bite at Isleta’s Tiwa Restaurant and take advantage of the venue’s January specials. The restaurant is offering two specials this month, with a breakfast sopaipilla for $9.99 and a grilled Reuben sandwich for $10.99. The golden fried sopaipilla is stuffed with scrambled eggs, diced potato and your choice of bacon, sausage or chorizo. The sopaipillas is then smothered in your choice of green or red chile sauce, and melted cheddar and jack cheeses. It is served with your choice of crispy hash browns or papitas. The Reuben features three layers of grilled buttery rye, roasted turkey, thin sliced corned beef and melted Swiss cheese, with a side of cilantro lime coleslaw.

Golf enthusiasts can save some cash with Isleta’s midday special. Head over to the Isleta Golf Club between noon and 2 p.m. daily. Fees will be $30 Mondays through Fridays and $35 Saturdays and Sundays. The special rates include the green fee, cart, range balls and bottled water. Call 848-1900 to book your tee time.

Relax and unwind this January with the “Bliss Duo” at The Spa at Isleta. Guests will be treated with a 60-minute tranquility massage and a 45-minute balancing facial for $160, plus tax. Spruce up your hairdo this month and receive 18 percent off all haircuts and hair color services.

Head over to Isleta’s nonsmoking sister location, Palace West, this month for its “Cash Mountain” promotion. One hot seat drawing winner will be chosen every hour between noon and 8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in January for a chance to win up to $500 in cash.
