ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office says it has terminated a legal secretary following her arrest on drunken driving charges last month.
According to court documents, Karina Grajeda, 29, was arrested Dec. 21 after her car veered off of the roadway repeatedly as she drove to a southwest Albuquerque home. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test, police said.
DA’s Office spokesman Michael Patrick said Grajeda worked in the DA’s Office for 10 years. He said the decision to terminate Grajeda’s employment was made after an internal investigation. Her DWI case will be referred to the District Attorney’s Office in another judicial district for prosecution.
